My dear Mr. Einstein:
I was sorry I could not respond immediately to your appeal for a contribution to your education fund - for it was cheering to know that something positive was to be done in this direction. As an individual, I had felt terribly disturbed - and equally helpless.
The enclosed cheque is for twenty-five dollars - and if it is at all possible, I will send another twenty-five toward the end of this year, or early in the New Year.
