JUN 24 RECD

5035 Louise Avenue Encino, California June 19th, 1948

Dear Miss Ray:

The last mailing which I sent you was set by Fourth Class Mail to see whether this would reach you as well as that which I have been mailing by First Class Mail, which, I am sure you realize, costs far more.

My reason for having sent the mail by First Class all this time has been because many people have told me that mail that went to them which was not sent first class, and which happened to be of a liberal nature, did not arrive. I have never really known whether this is just carelessness or whether it might be deliberate on the part of some Post Offices in some parts of the country.

For that reason I would be grateful to know, if just on a postal card, whether you received the mailing which was sent on June 14th by Fourth Class Mail, so that I can judge whether to risk sending it that way in the future.

I would very much appreciate an answer from you so that I can take a poll on whether these envelopes arrived safely or not.

Cordially yours, Nina Dexter Mrs. Elliott Dexter
