Inclosed is a small check to help finance your autumn and winter program. I am sure that your correspondence is too heavy for you to pay much attention to letters of this type. Yet I cannot refrain from telling you how much your leadership in the cause of World Order means to us who constitute the rank and file of citizens. Your name alone on a letter comes to us as a benediction. We are aware of the great pressures on your time and energy, and the fact jay you can find it possible to give leadership to the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists in this dark hour inspires us to work more diligently for World Order and for an enduring international program for the human family.
