"Co-operation"

The scientists who have the "Know How" to produce the Atomic Bomb did not have the "Know How" to deliver its destructive power against the enemy. This "Know How" of delivery came from the co-operation of many forces such as aviation production, pilot, navigator and crew training, naval convoy and clearance of road to point of attack, all of which took in practically all phases of war production and activities, or delievery of the blow could not have taken place.

The same is true for the application of my DEFENSE against the use of the ATOMIC BOMB for war. I can and will produce the "Know How" of that defense at the DAVIS ATOMIC BOMB LUNCH but I cannot deliver that defense to its objective save by the cooperation of the resources of our scientists, our wealth, our labor and it is this cooperation that will then ask for. To get it I need your co-operation and help to bring together such an audience of power and wealth, for "Together we stand, divided we fall" and we must live up to our national motto for US to survive.

It took 300 or more scientists more than 3 years to produce the Atomic Bomb. It took the co-operation of the combined productive forces of our labor and our wealth to deliver the Atomic Bomb to its objective. The years of war had made these forces ready to make the delivery.

I will produce, at the Davis Atomic Bomb Defense Lunch my exhibits and give a demonstration of the proofs of my DEFENSE against its use for war. I will also show the method of its application and effective use. This will take the combined cooperation and strength of our armed forces, our civilian productive capacity and power and our governmental machinery.

They must be brought together for separately they cannot do it. It took their combined effort to produce and deliver to its objective the atomic bomb. It will take the same to apply and use my DEFENSE with this difference:

For the atomic bomb it took several years, for my DEFENSE less than 90 days are needed to save humanity from an awful fate.

I trust that you will have enough belief and confidence to "co-operate" and become an Honorary Sponsor and thus help bring these forces together, for only they can apply my DEFENSE!!!
