Dear Miss Ray:
I was deeply shocked and grieved to receive your letter telling of Mrs. Fry's sudden death. Not only have I felt grateful to her for her unusual personal kindness to us, but we could not meet her & see her at work without being aware of a vivid and lovely personality. I can imagine how greatly you must miss her, and I am sad that Dr. Einstein should have this loss of her
