Dr. Albert Einstein, Chairman Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists Princeton, New Jersey
Dear Sir:
A few days ago I received from you a form letter requesting a donation to a fund to be used for the dissemination of information regarding atomic energy and it's implications to mankind.
I was impressed with the purpose set forth in your letter, and I showed it to some of my friends. Twenty one of them were equally impressed, and felt that they too wished to contribute in some small measure to your fund.
A check for the resulting contribution of forty one dollars in all is enclosed.
We regret that this amount is not much larger, but we hope that this contribution will be of some help toward what we believe to be a very worthy under-taking.
Sincerely yours,
John Alderson and Friends John Alderson 2436 Pickwick Road Baltimore 7 Maryland
