August 3rd, 1947. Dear Dr Einstein
Your letter to me of some time ago (December 11th 1946 to be exact) I did not reply to, but have kept it & read over the enclosure "only then shall we find courage" several times with interest & alarm.
I cannot however give as would like to give having outstanding obligations - but on thinking the matter over decided that if every one in this country gave only ten dollars it would help you in exposing the danger in our time from atomic energy- then for wishing you success & venture to add my mite Sincerily your's Mary Bowditch Forbes Home address 215 Adams Street Milton- Mass.
