GERTRUDE ELY BRYN MAWR. PENNSYLVANIA May 27, 1946
Dear Mr. Einstein,
I am glad you sent me the telegram and I am relieved that you and other scientists are undertaking this enormous work.
I want to send a contribution but unfortunately it cannot be very large. However, I might secure contributions from others. Will you ask someone to send me an outline of your plan for getting the information to the American people? I want to help if I can and would be more effective with more information.
Sincerely, Gertrude Ely
