Answering your letter of August sixth, I am enclosing check for one hundred dollars, Mrs. Ellis' check for fifty dollars also my youngest son, Fred's check for five dollars. He has just (rather - is about to) acquired his Ph. D. at Harvard and will be teaching at the University of New Hampshire this fall.
I believe that you and your group are attacking the most essential task before the world today. May you be successful in your efforts.
