My dear Dr. Einstein: 

  In response to your letter of March 20 I enclose one dollar for the use of the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists.  I wish more, but I am in the [illegible], on a very small income.  But I am in such hearty sympathy with the work of the Committee that I wish to send a token of my interest.
