- Glen Ellyn, - a town of about 6,000 inhabitants, during the year the school children bought thousands of dollars in bonds, and collected hundreds of tons of paper. In my elementary school, where I happen to be teaching at present there are only six grades and about 250 children. Yet these children purchased thousands in bonds. It was not uncommon for one little send grade child to come with a $500. check, as each room struggled to compete in the contest for buying bonds. Think what could be done with every school in U.S. behind you in this cause!

  I have already contacted a leading society woman, and public spirited citizen in this suburb, and she intends to place
