  Dear Dr. Einstein - as I listened to Mr. Churchill's speech today from "The Hague" - the word, "persevere" which he used several times exactly expressed & clarified the ideas floating around in my mind the gist of which, was for this country & its citizens to adopt the plan of repeated contacts with all & every kind of Russian from Stalin & the Palitburo down - If Stalin will not leave Moscow, let us go there (of what importance is a little injured pride to the future of civilization).
 We are strong enough not to be accused of cowardice - after oft repeated meeting, talks & demonstrations a glimmer might get through to them that we do not plan to dominate Russia, or the World, letting them alone, if they will let us alone - I feel the only hope
