daughter of the writer, Margaret Culkin Banning. Duluth Publicity - a small republican sheet gives two and a half full columns to recent writings of yours on the subject of world government and peace - in the last issue. I am still offering to speak to any one who will listen and have two small dates ahead - one in January at a Catholic College for girls and one in February - a small groups of college women. All of these things constitute only a drop in the bucket - there is still much apathy but perhaps the [illegible] meeting planned by the League of Women Voters will do vital things in this locality. For my little talks I am always revising the title (as well as subject matter.) Once I said I was speaking on "Efforts for Peace among the Atomic Scientists" someone pointed out to me that the title was misleading & we had a good laugh over it. With best wishes for 1948. Clara Stocker.
