Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists 90 Nassau Street Princeton, New Jersey

Gentlemen:

In sending my contribution towards your valuable education campaign, I should like to add two suggestions for what they may be worth.

First, in view of the urgency of your mission, I find the word "ultimately" tends to emasculate the force of your argument, when you say in point 6 of the "Statement": "... and, ultimately, the elimination of war."

In the second place, I am sure that many others like me must be wondering what is being done in other countries besides the United States, by their scientists, to impress their populaces the necessity for a true world government. Since a world authority cannot be created by this nation alone, has the Emergency Committee attempted to get its foreign colleagues to carry on the same sort of campaign in other lands?

May you soon attain the goal set for your Fund.

Very truly yours, Bennet Skewes-Cox
