Professor Albert Einstein Princeton New Jersey
My dear Professor Einstein:
Your urgent and important wire has had my careful consideration.
In the welter of political and sociological programs or theories, this is not a time for one to go into any project without some definite knowledge of the aims and methods of a given organization. Being an ardent Single Taxer, I feel it is incumbent upon me to be sure that the ideological trends of even the most high-minded and scientific group are clear in my mind, and such as I can approve, before I take from the starving and suffering people of Europe and Asia to give to a cause.
Trusting that you will understand my conscientious scruple, and assuring you of the great interest I shall have in your explanation or agenda, believe me
Truly yours, (Mrs. Roswell Skeel, Jr. 2809 East 10th Street Tuscon, Arizona)
