Gentlemen:

  Through one of my colleagues, Mr. William G. Leary,  the cause represented by your organization has been brought to my attention.  All the members of the English Department at this institution have seen the circular which Mr. Leary received,  and all are much impressed with the material. 

  As a tangible indication of our interest and support,  I am enclosing checks from three members of the department, as follows: 

  Hildreth Pearl Bayless - $2.00  
  William G. Leary -          2.00 
  Paul E. Pendleton -      3.00. 

  Also enclosed is a dollar in cash  from another member of the department, Morris Garter. 

   Several members of the English Department would like to use the circular containing Dr. Einstein's message and Dr. Gauss' statement.  This material is so thought provoking that it is felt it would be a basis for stimulating discussion in some of our classes.  Would your organization be willing to provide us with several hundred copies of this circular?   Possibly, if you would not be able to provide this circular in quantities,  you would be willing to give us permission to reproduce the material by mimeograph. 

  Some of us here at California Polytechnic School feel that a student assembly might properly be devoted to this subject.  Do you have a speaker's bureau set up?   Or if not, could you suggest speakers available in this area who might be secured if such an assembly could be arranged?
