Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists 90 Nassau Street Princeton, N.J.
Dear Sirs:
I am enclosing a quite modest contribution in response to your appeal. Believe me, I would be most happy to make it larger, if there seemed any considerable prospect of these efforts producing the good effect desired.
I wish to protest specifically your list of the "few facts" accepted by "all scientists". To me, only the first three of these statements appear established with anything like scientific accuracy. The others should be classes as partly doubtful and partly wrong, in my mind. I have talked with a few accepted scientists who expressed implied definite disagreement with one or more of these.
Sincerely, Joseph W. Kennedy
