Your circular says this. Please make the effort. It takes more courage to do this than any human being has ever displayed before, and I am sure you have it, if I can only convince you that it is the right course and the only course to take. Don't fail mankind, Professor Einstein. You took the lead in making the atomic bomb, and therefore the world will heed what you say more than any other human being.

P.S. After all, probably it is just as well that mankind does not survive. The present chaotic state is just the culmination of man's natural course of evolution. The only disturbing factor is the thought that but for unfortunate circumstances the development of atomic fission might have been delayed fifty years, which would have given mankind the time to evolve into socialism and safety.
