Newton Holland August 16, 1949 Dear Professor Einstein: Thank you for your letter of August 6. My check for $100 is enclosed - I wish it were for $100,000. The grand work you and your group is doing to awaken the public mind to the necessity of living in the world of today rather than the world of yesterday deserves the finest kind of recognition and support fro the rest of us. The great respect we all have for you as a man as well as a scientist, gives us the assurance that this money will be one of the finest investments any of us have ever made. The" Bulletin of The Atomic Scientists" is read with interest every month. Will you let me know when i can help further? with every good wish, sincerely Newton (illegible)
