I was a conscientious objector during the war. I believe that <u>conscience</u> <u>is</u> <u>the</u> <u>only</u> <u>defense</u> against war. As a conscientious objector I was an unpaid worker in a selective service slave camp. Hence I cannot offer you much money.

Why doesn't your Committee demand that manufacture of atomic bombs shall cease. Why don't you scientists stop working on atomic bombs?!
