Robin Kassman Oral History Interview

Dublin Core

Title

Robin Kassman Oral History Interview

Description

In this interview, Robin Kassman shares her Oregon State story and describes what it was like going to school in the late 1970s. She talks about the changes that the university went through when she was attending it, the differences in university life then versus today (2020), the courses that she took, and how the campus has evolved and improved over the years.

The bulk of the session is dedicated to a discussion of Greek life and Kassman's experiences as a member of Kappa Delta sorority, both as a collegian and an alumna. In this, she talks about changes in Greek life over time, the postive impact of her alumna membership experience, and the specifics of her work as an advisor to the sorority. Kassman likewise describes the bonds that she has formed with women around the world because of Kappa Delta.

The interview concludes with a personal story about growth and the value that Kappa Delta has added to Kassman's personal life. She concludes with words of advice: speak your truth, do the right thing, and remember that someone is always watching.
