North Powder Huckleberry Festival
Huckleberry pancake breakfast at the high school.
Boy Scouts head the parade and stop to lead the Pledge of Allegiance.
Neighbors gather in the center of town for the National Anthem.
Grand Marshalls of the festival drive down 2nd Street.
The crowd scurries to collect candy thrown from the floats.
The fire truck cools off the crowd by spraying the fire hoses.
Local teams compete in a mud volleyball tournament throughout the day.
A shower is rigged up for the mud volleyball athletes to wash off.
Car (and horse) show.
Families gather in the shady park for a puppet show.
Toward the end of the day, crowds gather for free huckleberry sundaes.
In the evening, there’s an auction at the fire department for huckleberry desserts.
