Daniel Rothman was a brewer for McMenamins from 1989 to 1995. In his interview, Rothman talked about growing up in Arizona and his early exposure to German beer; his college experiences at Tulane and Lewis & Clark; experience home brewing; work at McMenamins at different locations (Lighthouse, Cornelius Pass Roadhouse, West Linn, Fulton); the beer culture in Portland in the late 1980s and early 1990s; and move to Arizona to work at Hops Cougan breweries in Phoenix, Arizona. Rothman concludes the interview talking about his MBA degree and move to New York in 2001 to work in banking.
