Dear Professor Pauling:

This acknowledges your letter of January 29 and the accompanying report, both of which you handed to me when I was recently in Pasadena. It was a pleasure to see you and talk over various aspects of the situation with you.

There is one point which I had meant to raise with you which I failed to get to, owing to the press of so many other interesting topics. I wanted to ask you what impression you had of Dorothy Wrinch's recent work. I think she has a long paper in process of publication in the Proceedings of the Royal Society, and this should give you a somewhat more substantial basis for an estimate; but I shall in any event be glad to have your reaction.

Cordially
