Dear Dr. Weaver:

I wish to thank you for writing me that the Rockefeller Foundation has made an appropriation for my work for another year. Our main project is progressing satisfactorily, and I hope to have interesting results to report by the end of 1934.

My wife and I are looking forward to seeing you again. We enjoyed your visit very much, especially since you gave us so much news about our mutual friends and acquaintances. Van Vleck and Abigail spent a day with us (Thursday) on their way to Stanford for a two-months stay.

Very sincerely yours,

Linus Pauling

Dr. Warren Weaver,

The Rockefeller Foundation,

49 West 49th Street,

New York City.
