Alexander Hamilton Peacock, MD

340 STIMSON BUILDING

Seattle 1,

December 26, 1946

Albert Einstein, Chairman, Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists 90 Nassau Street, Princeton, New Jersey

Dear Professor Einstein:

Your pamphlet, "Only Then Shall we find Courage", has been read most thoughtfully, and I concur with you in your views one hundred per cent.
The whole subject is really a frightening one when you come to realize what could very easily happen even today. The cure for this war disease is to abolish all armament in every nation and those unwilling to do so should be further persuaded and forced to give up their weapons, the same as they do in our cities.
I am enclosing my small contribution toward your noble effort.
      Yours respectfully,
      Alexander Hamilton Peacock, M.D.
