Mr. George Richard Rice 1427 E. Marshall Street Rosemead, California
Dear Mr. Rice:
Professor Einstein has asked me to express his sincere thanks for your generous answer to his letter and for your expression of confidence in the task that he and his fellow scientists have undertaken. It was very thoughtful of you to make avail-able to the Committee the names of your friends. Professor Einstein's letter and appeal for assistance for the work of the Committee will go to them all. This kind of cooperation is of the greatest value in our effort to reach a broad group of our fellow citizens.
Sincerely yours, Mary S. Ray, Secretary The Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, Inc. MER:e Enc.
