Division of Education in Home, Church, and Community Board of Christian Education Presbyterian Church in the United States of America 1105 Witherspoon Building Philadelphia, 7, Pennsylvania April 25, 1947 Mapr 28 RECD Albert Einstein, Chairman Emergency Connittee of Atomic Scientists, Inc. 90 Nassau Street, Princeton, N.J. Dear Mr. Einstein: Enclosed is a check for $5.00, a contribution to the Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists. My son, Dr. Park Hays Miller, Jr., has been quite active in the cooperative program of scientists and churchmen in the Philadelphia area. I am glad to make this small contribution but wish that the Emergenct Committee would make clear, if it is in accordance with their convictions, that human reason must be supported by the motivation and ethical standards which I believe find their source and foundation in religion with its faith in a righteous and loving God. Cordially yours, [signature] Park Hays Miller phm/jrh
