DR. M.Y. DABNEY 2300 HIGHLAND AVENUE BIRMINGHAM 5, ALA.

DR. HERBERT H. THOMAS January 28, 1947

Dr. Albert Einstein Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists Room 28 90 Nassau Street Princeton, New Jersey

My dear Dr. Einstein:

Enclosed is a small contribution toward your educational campaign. I am editor of the Southern Medical Journal, editorial office 3206 Cliff Road, Birmingham. It is possible that we might give your work some publicity, if you would provide materials which we think would be of interest to practicing physicians. I have not followed your publicity carefully so far, but presume that you will attempt to interest the various popular science writers in the movement. Paul de Kruif is one who I believe could be very useful to the cause, in attracting general interest which would probably bring contributions. All of our hopes are with you in your splendid work. I think the scientists should write the peace treaties, and, for my part, I would be willing to trust them to do it. With best wishes for success, I am, Sincerely yours, M.Y. Dabney {signed} M.Y. Dabney M.D.
