Dr. Albert Einstein
Princeton New Jersey
Mr dear Dr. Einstein:
Your telegram answered my own conviction that the atomic bomb is the first and overwhelming concern of every understanding person. We are at present organizing a committee in Los Angeles, stressing particularly the responsibility of the churches in what we believe is basically a moral problem. I am very glad to send 200.- toward the fund of the scientists, for in what they are doing lies my chief hope for the future. I hope the Church will awake to a similar sense of urgency. Yours very sincerely, (Mrs. John) Helen Marston Beardsley
