In this interview, Petersen shares his memories of founding, editing and publishing the Pauling Blog on the occasion of the blog's tenth anniversary. In so doing, Petersen recounts the origin story behind the blog's creation and traces its evolution amidst periods of institutional change within the Oregon State University Libraries. Petersen also comments on challenges, feedback, audience, memorable posts, and changes in his own relationship with the blog. The interview concludes with Petersen's memories of his early years working in Special Collections and studying as an OSU student.

Chris Petersen is an OSU alum (History and Sociology, 1999) and faculty member who, at the time of this interview, had worked for the OSU Libraries Special Collections/Special Collections and Archives Research Center for twenty-two years.
