Gordon Fackrall Glass was born September 25, 1925, to Lawrence and Lorene Glass.  He was their second and youngest child.  In 1943, he graduated from Parkrose High School in Portland, Oregon.

Glass started at Oregon State in the fall of 1943 and would have been a member of the Class of 1947, but did not complete his studies.  He instead enlisted in the Army Air Corps in April 1944.

On April 16, 1950, he married Lura Lee Smith (Bachelors of Business and Industry, 1950), in John Day, Oregon.  The couple continued to live in John Day, and Glass worked at S-M Motors.

He served a three year term on the OSU Alumni Association Board of Directors from June 1973 to 1975.

He died November 17, 2002.
