Abstract
The Epsilon Pi Tau Records document the activities of the OSU chapter of EPT, an Industrial Arts and Vocational Education Honor Society, and include correspondence, financial records, minutes, publications, memorabilia, and related documentation.
Biographical / Historical Notes
Epsilon Pi Tau, national honor society in industrial arts, was based upon three precepts - skill, social efficiency, and research. It was founded when two individual fraternities from Oregon State and Ohio State combined to form a national organization, after organizing a national chapter independently of the other in 1929. Phi Tau Chi at Oregon State college gave to it the constitution and the plan of organization. Epsilon Pi Tau at Ohio State university contributed the name and the ritual. Oregon State college became the Delta chapter.
