The Sarah Jackman Wilson Papers consist of records from the American Revolution Bicentennial Commission High School Bicentennial Conference including program materials and schedules, reports, evaluations, correspondence, and a list of participants.
The collection also houses records of the American Issues Forum and the Oregon Great Decisions Council including meeting minutes, correspondence, schedules, bibliographies, programs, and information booklets.
Likewise included are materials authored by E.R. Jackman including county histories. A book project by James Jackman is also found in the collection.
Sarah Jackman Wilson was born on July 31, 1924. She attended both Oregon State College and the University of Colorado in pursuit of her BA, and the University of Oregon for her MS. She became an assistant archivist at OSU in 1966, and was promoted to Senior Instructor in 1974. Wilson was elected president of the American Records Management Association in 1972, and named to the Bicentennial Commission Committee in 1973.
Wilson spent six years in Latin America, and was married with three children. She died on July 7th, 1978.
