The Edith Mae Wilkinson Records consist of scrapbooks, a photograph album and other memorabilia related to Wilkinson's student years at OAC.
Scope and Content Notes
The papers of Edith Mae Wilkinson consist of two scrapbooks covering her college years at OAC from 1920 to 1924; a photograph album containing pictures of the OAC campus and various other places; correspondence; grade reports covering the years 1920 through 1922; post cards sent from around the world by friends; and many poems.
Biographical / Historical Notes
Edith Wilkinson was born on October 24, 1901 in Pendleton, Oregon. She attended OAC from 1920 to 1924, receiving a B.S. in Commerce in 1924. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, an honorary Commerce sorority, and Delta Omega, a social sorority. Miss Wilkinson began working for OAC in September of 1924 as secretary to Ulysses Grant Dubach, first Dean of Men. She later became secretary to Dubach's successor, Dan Poling. Wilkinson was the president of the Corvallis Business and Professional Women's Club in 1931. She retired in 1966 after working for the University for forty-two years.
