The Oregon State University Historical Photographs Collection is an artificial collection comprised of images gathered from multiple sources. The collection provides visual documentation for a number of noteworthy individuals, activities and events dotting the history of Oregon State University for nearly one century.

The Oregon State University Historical Photographs Collection contains a number of images of individuals - administration, faculty, staff and students/student-athletes - identified by name. The collection also includes period images of various campus building and events, including a variety of social occasions such as those associated with specific living groups or philanthropic organizations. Likewise, the collection features a number of scenic images documenting day-to-day life both on campus and in the Corvallis community.
The materials in this collection appear to have been transferred by multiple sources, though the provenance of the collection is largely unknown. Annotations suggest that certain of the materials were moved out of Harriet's Collection.
