The Reva Buell Photograph Collection consists of 14 mounted photographic prints depicting Oregon Agricultural College (OAC) scenes, buildings, and student groups. Reva Buell attended Oregon Agricultural College from 1900 to 1904, where she majored in Household Science.

The Reva Buell Photograph Collection is comprised of 14 mounted photographic prints. The images depict Oregon Agricultural College (OAC) military cadets, the track and field team, the 1903/04 basketabll team, and the makers of the 1905 class flag; several OAC buildings; a debate between students regarding the flag over the Administration Hall (now Community Hall); and a group sailing off the coast of Newport, Oregon. Many of the photographs in this collection bear the stamp of Emery Photographers, Corvallis.
Campus buildings are identified by the building name used at the time the photograph was taken. In instances where the building name has changed, the name used at the time of the finding aid's publication appears in brackets.

Reva Buell was born October 5, 1885 to Samuel Buell and Margaret Jane Tharp Buell. Reva's father, who was born in 1845, migrated west from Iowa on the Oregon Trail with his parents in 1847; the family settled first in California in 1852, but returned to Iowa in 1853. Samuel and his parents again journeyed west in 1858, settling in Yamhill County, Oregon in 1860, most likely near Sheridan. On May 9, 1868, Samuel married Margaret Jane Tharp, and the couple had five children together, Willard Samuel, Nora May, Joseph Henry, Ora Dell, and Reva.
Reva attended high school at Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Oregon. In 1900, she matriculated at Oregon Agricultural College, graduating in 1904 with a degree in Household Science. After graduating from OAC, she began a career as a school teacher in Salem, Oregon. On June 3, 1908, Buell married George Jefferson Case of Medina, Ohio and the couple settled in Molalla, Oregon. Reva and George had two children together, Carvel Buell Case and Carmen Case Gregory. Reva died September 28, 1971.

Acquisition Note: The Reva Buell Photograph Collection was accessioned by the Oregon State University Archives in the 1960s under the title "Mrs. George Case Photograph Collection." The collection is now housed in the Special Collections and Archives Research Center.
