Series I contains incoming and outgoing correspondence arranged alphabetically, chronologically, or by individual according to Lattin’s original organization. This series includes extensive professional correspondence and related documentation such as reports, conference materials, articles, and photographs. The majority of this series is contemporary to Lattin’s employment at OSU and demonstrates the information and specimen-sharing network established between entomologists in the United States and abroad. The correspondence also relates to Lattin's participation in professional events and organizations, curation of OSU's extensive entomology collection, official duties as an Entomology Department administrator, and the development of his personal entomology library.
