Frank Catchpool: Suddenly there was a radio flash as I was driving to Caltech. The Nobel Peace Prize had just been announced, and it was to be Linus Pauling, already a one-time Nobel Prize winner. And I just let out a whoop of joy. I said, "here it is, at last!" You know, here's the proof that the world had listened to him.
