The trustees of the College on the recommendation of the faculty and by virtue of the authority in them vested by the State of California have conferred on Dr. Linus Pauling the degree of Doctor of World Law, Doctor Legis Universalis (D.L.M.) for services to the world and to peace, with all the rights privileges and honors thereto appertaining.
