"Jim the Fixr" Sign
From his second story window of a 2nd St. hotel, Bernard Malamud, former OSU English Dept. faculty member and writer, had a good view of downtown Corvallis including the shop of Jim the Fixer. The name gave Malamud the title for his 1967 Pulitzer Prize winning novel and later a motion picture, "The Fixer."
