BeeBee Sanchez
BeeBee Sanchez was born in Fresno, California, and grew up in the East Bay. She earned her undergraduate degree and went on to graduate school in Corvallis, soon after which she moved to Portland. To launch her Burlesque career, she attended the Showgirl Temple Burlesque act development series in Portland, studying with teacher Eva D’Luscious in 2019.
As a producer, Sanchez creates shows through her company, Querencia Dance, and writes and receives arts grants to support her projects. She performs regularly in Portland, the Pacific Northwest, and nationally. During the COVID-19 shutdown of Oregon in 2020, she pivoted to producing and performing online. She was a proud member of the What the Funk?! Festival planning team in 2021 and 2022 in Seattle, a BIPOC Burlesque festival.
