AUG 2 RECD
Box 937 Bismark, N. Dak. 18 August 1948
Dear Sir,
First of all I wish to congratulate you and your fellow men. You're doing a fine job. Dr. Posen of the North Dakota Agricultural College was here in Bismarck during the past school year and delivered a marvelous lecture on atomic energy and its powers. Marvelous in that it was easy to listen to, direct, and amazingly simple. The facts he presented were already known to me, but the group he talked to was composed mainly of high school students (I am a junior college student) and they were very enthusiastic about his talk. They are still thirsting for more at this date.
I know this work costs money and time as well, so I wish you would accept this pitifully small contribution from me.
Sincerely, Gene Schacht
P. S. How about something on cosmic rays and their mysteries? That's what I'm interested in.
