Dear Dr. Einstein:
I was profoundly touched by your message and hasten to offer my mite. Compared to the great need it is minute indeed, but unfortunately even that is above my means. Please accept it with the assurance that I am with you heart and soul in the task which you and your colleagues have undertaken.
May I suggest that you include in future mailings to your "friends" a form, with the request that they return it with the names and addresses of their friends to whom you may also appeal for help in this cause. The circle of "friends" would this increase the manifold with a minimum effort.
In lieu of such a form, I am listing below all of my friends who, I trust, will not turn a deaf ear to you appeal. You may, if you wish, mention the fact that I had recommended them to you.
