In reply to yours l.d. Sept 29, I must say that I can give you very little financial help, because my small property in Holland is stil frozen and there is no income from a small fruit ranch, which I own here. While people are starving most of the apples and pears west of this town are rotten on the ground. No market - Why??? I only enclose one dollar from myself and one dollar from Mrs. Belden, who I give your letter to read. She would like to be on your mailing list. I have time to spare. If you can use this, I am glad to offer this to you. Have carried your letter to friends and am astonished, who is interested and who not. One friend did not even read it! We heard already so much about this, we had a speaker about it at the American Association University Women.
