Abstract

The Kate W. Belden Collection documents Belden's years as an Oregon Agricultural College student in the 1920s and includes images of both campus as well as Corvallis.

Scope and Content Notes

The collection includes a scrapbook; memorabilia and clippings; publications, including two "Beaver" yearbooks (vols. 20 and 22); and photographs. Of particular note are nitrate negatives of downtown Corvallis (including the Whiteside Theater); campus; and Willamette River flooding.

Biographical / Historical Notes

Kate Belden graduated from Oregon Agricultural College in 1928 with a BS degree in home economics. She later married Paul Julius Thiess.
