Abstract

The Robert H. Gellatly Photograph Collection consists of photographs of Oregon Agricultural College (OAC) students in the 1890s. Gellatly earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from OAC in 1899.

Scope and Content Notes

The Robert H. Gellatly Photograph Collection consists of three duplicate prints of 1890s photographs; the items are individually numbered P074:1 through P074:3. They include images of Oregon Agricultural College students and local residents of Corvallis and Benton County. One is identifed as a group that took a picnic hike to Philomath and includes Lyman Bundy, Julia Cooper, Kenneth Cooper, Louise Cooper, Sam Dolan, Edna Irvine (B.F. Irvine's daughter), Mary Nolan, and Mike Walker. The Coopers were the nieces of Corvallis physician, Dr. George Farra.

Another image depicts 24 male Oregon Agricultural College students at the doorway of the Mechanical Hall; it includes Robert Gellatly.

The third image shows Will Bloss, C.E. Dentler, and Jennie and Delia Gellatly on the front porch of the house at the northeast corner of 4th and Harrison in Corvallis where they lived while Robert Gellatly and his sisters were in school.

Robert H. Gellatly attended Oregon Agricultural College at various times from 1891 to 1899, when he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering.
