The Robert E. McDole Papers consist of materials created or assembled by McDole during his undergraduate student years at Oregon State College, as a graduate student in soil science at the University of Idaho, and in the course of his work as a soil scientist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the University of Idaho. McDole earned a BS in soils from Oregon State College in 1952 and MS and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Idaho in 1968 and 1969.
