Colleges for Oregon's Future Collection, 1959-1977

The Colleges for Oregon's Future Collection documents the activities of this citizen organization to promote the needs of higher education in Oregon, especially the passage of bond measures for building construction in 1960 and 1964. The collection include brochures and booklets outlining the projected increase in student enrollment during the 1960s and the resulting needs for additional facilities and funding; press releases and news bulletins; a speaker's kit; a packet for the 1964 State Committee Meeting; and a County Committee Chair notebook for the 1964 campaign. The collection also includes a program and press releases for the 1966 Symposium on Post-High School Education sponsored by Colleges for Oregon's Future; the symposium materials include transcripts of discussion programs that were broadcast on television in 1966.
