Abstract

The Electrical Engineering Department Records consist of scholarship data, department bylaws, newsletters, correspondence, survey forms and meeting minutes documenting the activities of the department.  Access to some materials in this collection are restricted due to the presence of confidential information.  All requests for access to this materials should be directed to the University Archivist.

Scope and Content Notes

The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department Records document the activities of the department. Contained within are scholarship records, award letters, award recipient lists and biographical data forms, and correspondence. The collection also contains the undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting minutes, the department bylaws, and records of Cross Talk, the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department newsletter.

Accession 2005:015 includes scholarship records and undergraduate curriculum committee meeting minutes. Primarily made up of award letters and biographical data forms completed by recipients, the scholarship records also include recipient lists and correspondence.

Accession 2005:044 includes various issues of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department newsletter, "CrossTalk," dating from 1972 to 1978.

Accession 2005:045 includes records generated by the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and is primarily made up of meeting minutes and scholarship materials. In addition to minutes of department faculty meetings, other administrative bodies represented in these records include Curriculum Committees, the Coordinating Council and the Advisory Committee. Also included in this transfer are department bylaws.

Accession 2005:096 includes scholarship records made up of applications/biographical data forms completed by recipients and accounting transaction information. Also included in this transfer are surveys regarding the undergraduate Electrical and Computer Engineering program at OSU completed by representatives of regional corporations and businesses such as Boeing, Tektronix, Hewlett Packard and InFocus.
